What was reported
A Zoox vehicle (Vehicle 1) was operating in autonomous mode, traveling northwest in the right lane of [XXX] and preparing to turn right onto [XXX] in San Francisco. As it approached the crosswalk on [XXX], the Zoox vehicle gradually slowed its operator disengaged from autonomy and continued to slow to yield to a pedestrian with the right-of-way entering the crosswalk. At that time, a passenger car (Vehicle 2), traveling directly behind the Zoox vehicle, struck the left rear corner of the Zoox vehicle. The driver of Vehicle 2 did not stop and continued along [XXX] after the incident. The Zoox vehicle incurred moderate damage, and the police were not notified. The operator later reported experiencing a "back spasm."
