What was reported
A Zoox vehicle, operating in autonomous mode, was heading south on [XXX] in Las Vegas, slowing down for a red traffic signal at the [XXX] intersection, when a trailing passenger car (Vehicle 2) rear-ended it. The Zoox vehicle operator subsequently disengaged from autonomy. The collision resulted in moderate rear-end damage to the Zoox vehicle and major frontal damage to Vehicle 2, including frontal airbag deployment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Police responded to the scene, and no injuries were reported.
