What was reported
On January [XXX] at approximately 2:15 p.m., an AVRIDE autonomous vehicle (the AVRIDE AVâ) was involved in a collision in Dallas, Texas, on [XXX] near [XXX]. The AVRIDE AV was traveling southbound in the right lane with autonomous mode engaged when it approached a pickup truck exiting a parking lot on the right side of the roadway. The pickup truck entered the roadway without stopping or yielding, cutting off the AVRIDE AV and contacting the right side of the AVRIDE AV with the pickup truckâs front-left area. The AVRIDE AVâs airbags deployed and the vehicle required towing. Both vehicles sustained damage. No injuries were reported.
