What was reported

On January [XXX], 2026 at 8:14 AM, an AVRIDE autonomous vehicle (the "AVRIDE AV") was in a collision in Austin, Texas on [XXX] near [XXX]. The AVRIDE AV was traveling westbound on [XXX] in the left most lane autonomous mode directly behind a pickup truck when both vehicles stopped at a traffic light at [XXX]. At the traffic light, both vehicles began to proceed forward to make a left turn when a bus in the right lane made a left turn going against traffic rules. This bus cut off the pickup truck in front of the AVRIDE AV, causing it to break quickly. This abrupt breaking caused the front of the AVRIDE AV to make contact with the rear of the pickup truck. Minor damage was sustained to both vehicles. No injuries were reported.
