What was reported

On April [XXX], 2026 at 3:27 PM, an AVRIDE autonomous vehicle(the "AVRIDE AV") was in a collision in Austin, TX on [XXX] near [XXX]. The AVRIDE AV was in autonomous mode facing northbound, fully stopped in a line of traffic waiting to turn left at the red light on [XXX]. The traffic light turned green momentarily, allowing a few cars to make the left hand turn, but turned red again by the time the AVRIDE AV approached the intersection. After the AVRIDE AV had fully stopped at the red light, a pickup truck approached the AVRIDE AV from behind but failed to stop. This maneuver resulted in the front of the pickup truck making contact with the AVRIDE AV. Both vehicles sustained damage. No injuries were reported.
