What was reported

On April [XXX], 2026 at 12:21 PM, an AVRIDE autonomous vehicle (the "AVRIDE AV") was in a collision in Dallas, Texas on [XXX] West near [XXX]. The AVRIDE AV was traveling southbound on [XXX] in the left lane in autonomous mode when it approached a work truck parked ahead in the left lane. As the AVRIDE AV approached the work truck, it moved into the middle lane to its right to avoid the truck. After the AVRIDE AV successfully moved to the middle lane, a pickup truck in the right lane began to merge into the middle lane as well, cutting off the AVRIDE AV. This maneuver resulted in the left side of the pickup truck making contact with the right front of the AVRIDE AV. Both vehicles sustained damage. No injuries were reported.
