What was reported
On May [XXX], 2026 at 12:43 PM, an AVRIDE autonomous vehicle was involved in a collision in Dallas, Texas, on [XXX] near [XXX]. The AVRIDE vehicle was traveling southwest in autonomous mode when it began merging from the right lane into the middle lane. At the same time, a passenger car in the left lane also began entering the middle lane without signaling. To avoid a collision, the AVRIDE vehicle stopped. The vehicles behind it, including another AVRIDE autonomous vehicle and two passenger cars, also stopped. During the stop, one passenger car made contact with the rear of the second AVRIDE vehicle. The passenger car that entered the middle lane left the scene. The second AVRIDE vehicle was damaged. No other vehicles were damaged, and no injuries were reported.
