What was reported

On September [XXX], 2021 at 5:14 PM PDT a Waymo Autonomous Vehicle ('Waymo AV') operating in San Francisco, California was in a collision involving a passenger vehicle at [XXX] and [XXX]. While making a left turn from [XXX] onto [XXX] in manual mode, the Waymo AV was struck by a passenger vehicle attempting to pass the Waymo AV on the left side using the oncoming traffic lane. At the time of the impact the Waymo AV's Level 4 ADS was not engaged and a test driver (in the driver's seating position) was operating the Waymo AV in manual mode. The Waymo AV sustained minor damage to the left front fender. The other vehicle left the scene without exchanging information. Transdev Alternative Services is reporting this duplicate crash report under Request No. 2 of Standing General Order 2021-01. Transdev will supplement or correct its reporting with additional information as it may become available.
